It was July 2021, a little bit before the wildfires in Turkey that burned 1,700m2.

Little I knew about what will happen and God saved me from experiencing this incident yet... on a beautiful morning in the South of Turkey, I met with Fırat.

Our connection was instant and our common passion for music was felt.

We came together on that evening, me with a borrowed steel tongue drum which I have never played before and him with my old acoustic guitar.

We jammed and something came up...

From what came up, we sat down, discussed the result, composed the melody and flow together and after 2 rehearsals, we entered the forest and we recorded this track!

The feeling of satisfaction and mutual appreciation was a great indication that this music had to reach the world.

Years have passed and I have been postponing the release due to the minor buzzing of the guitar. I thought it did not sound good enough!

After sharing the music with some musician friends I got convinced to release it as it is. After all... music is not about perfection but about expression!

We decided to give the name "Hızır - The Spirit of the Green Man"as an honor to the forest and all the forests that were burned that year.

Hızır or Khidr is a sort of a mythical figure both in the Quran as well as in Celtic mythology and attributed with many miracles and supernatural abilities.
